Tenacious

I've been sick since Saturday with a chest cold. So sick in fact that I haven't worked on anything. I've hardly lifted from my couch. Today is the first I can even stand to look at a computer screen for more than a few minutes; my head hasn't been clear. so, per usual, nothing significant to report.

I invested in the 2011 GLA,and have been turned onto new ideas and approaches. The information provided on the internet has proved to be incorrect, or at best obsolete.

If you can say nothing else about me, you can say I am tenacious.

TNG

Nothing new to report - most of my entries will probably include that sentence.
Or at least, there is no real measurable progress to speak of. I don't think I've even received a response to any query letters I've written since my last blog.
For the first time, though, I did query a book I'm working on, instead of a finished one. I don't honestly believe it to be a wise move to push an un-written novel as your first, but what better time: After years of effort, I've virtually nothing to show for it, and therefore cannot see the harm in throwing out wild cards and jokers.

I've additionally concluded it acceptable to try publishing a few short stories.
It has been several years since I've written a short story; I've only thought at novel lengths for some time. The short stories will be based on some of my dreams. The details I'll keep hush for now.

It's Friday, which means it's my day of rest. I'm spending my evening watching my newly obtained complete series box set of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Nearly a year later

March 5th of 2012 seems as good of time as any to begin posting again. Nearly 12 months after my last post and nothing to report back. Sometime late in 2011, I came to realize I was focusing too much on building my writer's resume. At some point, I took a step back and said, "Hey, I think you have enough there to catch an eye or two, now." Do I? Who knows anymore. What I can tell you for a fact: Concealed Weapons is back on the market; I'm seeking literary agents with the semblance writing talent and disgruntled disposition all good writers have. My proposed Sophomore release has changed (a few times), but I do have a current focus: TBA. THE POETRY BOOKS: What the hell happened there!?! A Resigned Decanter had my full attention and then died. I had plotted three poetry publications (self-publications). Everyone has their trilogy to tell. My poetry books would be referred to my Useless Talent trilogy: Love, Religion, and Politics. Are they shelves/scrapped? No. Do they have an ETA: No.

I'm trying to follow through with these plans, however their a two way street and a fan-base and demand has to meet me half way.
